some more projects

Well, in the last week, I've managed to make 2 granny squares for whoever may need them in the future, and made 2 baby hats. these baby hats are the start of the charity project I have going for the hospital here in town.

My fiance has made his first attempt at designing his own pattern we are trying to figure out how to tweak it and then try to find out if anyone else has ever published it. If we can't find any ones that are the same, he would like me to publish it on here.

I'm starting to work on the booties to go with the caps. I'll have pics up once I get them done.

next project

Well, I finished the blanket for my friends little girl the other day. She absolutely loves it. She has cerebrqal Palsey and has limited motor skills. She grabbed hold and wouldn't let go of it. I'm so glad I used mainly purple, thats her favorite color. I started working on baby hats to give to the hospital here in town when I saw a message from a girl in the crochet group I belong to and shes asking for Granny squares to make a comfortghan for her neighbor who just lost twins.

I'm trying to get them done quick so that I can send them out Friday. Once I get them done, I'll get photos up of them.

a bit to start

well, I've made some large doilies as a child modifying them into Barbie doll skirts and dresses. The first blanket I made, I putsed around with it just using a dc ch1 I started out and ended up making the chain about 7 ft long. I worked on it every once in a blue moon when I could get some scrap yarn from my grandma. after about 1o years, I finished it off at about 7 ft X 4ft. It turned into a great lapghan for a larger woman who is almost totally bed ridden. For a few years I didn't crochet, cause I couldn't afford supplies. I'm finally getting back into crocheting. So far in the last 6 months, I made a baby blanket/lapghan in a ripple pattern in a teal and teal/purple verigated colors for my neice and her baby dolls, I made a round ripple baby blanket for a coworkers new grandson in blue, yellow and white yarn and I'm making another one of the same pattern in pink, yellow, and purple yarn for my friend's very special daughter. I have a lot of ideas I want to work on But I'm trying to keep myself to one project at a time so I don't get too confused, as I'm just learning how to read a pattern.
